Catnip Herbal Tea

Catnip is an aromatic perennial herb native to central Europe. The use of catnip leaves and flowers in herbal teas was documented as early as 1735 in the General Irish Herbal. Medicinally, the plant has been used to treat intestinal cramps, indigestion, excess sweating, induce menstruation, as a sedative, and to increase appetite. Additionally, the plant has been used to treat diarrhoea, colic, the common cold and cancer.

This herb should be used in conjunction with a nutritive diet and not take the place of a nutritive diet. Not recommended during pregnancy.
